Who we are

Thai Kitchen UK, 41 Whitehorse Road, Croydon, CR0 2JG. We’re responsible for the personal details collected through this website. For any question about your details, call us on 07462 369359 or speak to us in the restaurant.

The short version

  • We only collect what we need to look after your booking.
  • We never sell your details, share them with other companies, or send you marketing.
  • Booking details delete themselves automatically the morning after your visit.
  • Analytics cookies are only used if you say yes to them.

Booking a table

What we collect: the name for the booking, a phone number and/or email address, how many people, the date and time, and any note you add.

Why: to hold your table and to contact you to confirm it or about any change. The legal basis is that you’ve asked us to reserve a table for you.

Who sees it: only our staff. It isn’t shared with anyone else, and we don’t use it for marketing. Booking emails are sent for us by our email provider, Resend, using servers in the EU (Ireland). They only use your details to deliver the email.

How long we keep it: each booking is deleted automatically at 4am the morning after its date. If we decline a booking or it’s cancelled, it’s deleted straight away. Booking details are never copied into our website backups.

If you give an email address, we’ll email you when your booking is confirmed, or if we can’t fit you in. We also get an email about each new booking. Those emails stay in our email account and yours, the same as any email we exchange. We keep simple totals (such as how many bookings and people we had in a month) that don’t include who booked.

Please don’t put health or allergy details in the booking note. Tell a member of staff when you arrive instead.

Using this website

We count page visits and clicks (for example, how many people tapped our phone number) as plain numbers. No cookies are used for this and it doesn’t identify you. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. It sets cookies (named _ga) and sends anonymous usage information to Google. Nothing is set unless you choose Accept on the cookie banner. Your choice is remembered in your own browser.

Your rights

You can ask us what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them, by calling 07462 369359 or in the restaurant. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.
